If you know you are someone who loves music but feel it may be too late or you worry that you aren't “a natural” then I may well be the teacher for you. I’m not a natural, I just love it and I believe love and passion is all you need for me to be able to help you improve and learn on any instrument.
Currently I play piano, bass, guitar, cello, flute and sing. This range of instruments gives me a unique birds eye view on music. I believe music is something that occurs in the mind first and comes out the instrument second.
I teach my students to hear the music and connect with the place inside them where music begins and give them technical skills so they can draw these sounds out of themselves into the physical world of sound.
Music is an inherently human thing, our brains are wired for it and as someone who came to playing later than many others who started very young I know this from my own experience. If someone loves music then they can learn it and that's the bottom line.
I am a multi-instrumentalist performer and composer who started playing in rock bands when I was 15 years old. I spent most of my life playing in bands and pursuing the dream of being a touring and recording musician. Throughout the years I have been extremely fortunate to do these things most notably in a band called LibraLibra among many others and have written and played on songs that have received radio play on BBC Radio 6 and Radio One as well recently composing an original score for a David Shrigley Film.
